OK GUYS I JUST READ THE RULES FOR THE PARK!!! Since we are going ahead with this. We will need a peace officer to have "security" . This is a MUST !!!


Big question is what time on saturday do we want to do this . Minimum of 4 hours . And do we just want to do 4 hours ?

It will prolly be $35 an hour for the officer . So there's $140 for the officer. And thats for 4 hours .

So Saturday morning, 9ish something, we'll be eating breakfast. Then maybe head to the park for 11ish for 2-3 hours maybe?

Newman - Is the officer required due to the size of the party itself, or for safety in the area? Also, do we need to pay for the officer when we get there? I'm sure we can each cover $8-$10 each for that. IMO 2-3 hours would be good with me as I'll be driving back Saturday evening. Just my 2 cents.

So the drinking topic might be out of the question for the park unless we want to pay a cop for security, my brother in law said he's going to check on it . But if we do need him it will be $35 a hour . He is a pearland cop and said he'd be willing to do it but he is going to get more info from his captain. At some parks in Texas he said if alcohol is involved at a park 2 officers are needed .

My vote on this is, skip the need for security by skipping the alcohol. Go drink elsewhere afterwards and focus on the racing. Let's keep it fun and safe too.

Plenty of time afterwards to get into trouble...

Yes officer is required by park rules . 2-3 hours is fine with me but rental will be for 4 hours.

For what it is worth most departments aren't going to allow their officer to work anything with alcohol without ATLEAST 2 officers. I know the going rate if alcohol is involved for my department is $50 an hour per officer.
