Charles, I thought you had the fiberglass version. Cracking probably because the cf doesnt have any support because its going for weight savings so it flexes alot more. The painter could have added some flex agent to the paint like they do to bumpers.

Im looking for a new hood and didnt even see they had a cf version. Whats the price on cf?

I only saw on their website the fiberglass GT500 hood, so I sent an email asking if this group buy was for the GT and carbon versions as well. Does anyone know?

Bangastang didn't say what the CF price would be. I dunno if he's only looking for the FG version. Contact Bangastang guys, push them to get some hoods out! lol

Here is the email from Bangastang.

Hi Joe,

Thanks for the email. We have access to all the Tiger Racing Hoods, we just don't have images of the carbon fiber hood. We will offer the group buy for all the hoods.

Yo Rob mine is the CF version. Tiger racing does not offer a cosmetic Carbon hood. It does flex a bit on the freeway I can see it. Painter said he did add flex like on the bumpers. I went back to ask them about it and they told me it is something that will keep happening. I knew I should have just plastidipped the whole thing...lol....

I did but the cracks still showed. I messed up the edges so took it off. Gonna try it again when I have some time.

What about just wrapping the hood?

Probably wont be able to find an exact color (maybe you can) but you can always do carbon fiber, etc.

Wrap the stripes on the vents as you want. Then plastidip the wrap to your color. The wrap will prevent the cracks from showing through
