Well I looked over a recent tire thread, but didn't find what I'm really wanting. I'm in need of tires in a bad way, and am fixing to buy a set. Planning on getting 295/35-18 or something close to a 27" tall tire in the rear, and 255/40-18 for the front. I've looked at the KDWs and KDW2s and really like the KDW2s. Anybody have any suggestions on tires? I have Falken Azenis Rt615s on it right now and love them, but only got about 15000 out of them. I got 2 and half years left in college, and that will prolly equal out to bout 30000 miles, and I'm hoping to find a tire I can make that on. I don't have to really worry bout rain or snow (its Texas...come on!), so that probably helps with some suggestions. Help me out guys!

Cliffnotes- need suggestions on tires 295/35-18 or a tire around 26-27" tall in a 295 or wider width, and 255/40-18 for the front that get decent mileage (30,000 preferably). Performance in bad weather not a concern...just mileage.

I would go 255/45 in front, I think the 255/40 would look too small unless you're lowered over 1 1/2". Also, you can get 285/40 for the rear and not have to adjust your speedo. Unfortunately, there are very few choices in 285/40.

I have the KDW2's and like their grip and their look, but they are considerably noisier than stock. That may not bother you if you have a coupe. Other good choices IMO that give you the best bang for the buck are 1)Toyo Proxes T1R 2)Nitto 555 3)Sumitomo HTRZ III 4)Goodyear Eagle F1

Check out Tire Rack's online road test results and user ratings and go from there.

I already have 255/40-18s on the front. I have sportlines on my car so its damn low. Roadnoise isn't much of a concern, the car is already loud

Matt... pics? please?

I had the GY Eagle F1 A/S. (In Houston, so when it rains, there is standing water everywhere) I liked them. Good straight line and lateral grip. Only problem was GY having them on 3month back order when I needed to replace the two right sides after getting run into a curb. There was ONE in the entire country available. Ended up with some Michelin's that I hate. 275/40/18 on all four corners.
