I am ordering my Nitto DR's next week. I have 18x9.5" rear rims. I have heard a few different opinions on the max tire size to go. I was thinking I can put 305 40 18's on them and be fine. Anyone run a 305 on a 9.5" rim?

its a tad big for a 9.5 rim, IMO you'll be fine, I run a 265 on a 8.5 and it works fine

the 305/45 would fit better (but its tall!!)

Ya the 45 will be tall.. but it winds out quick now with the 4:10's and wide open exaust..Im not too worried about the gear ratio changing some with the 45, Im sure I wont be near redline in 4th with the auto when i trap with the 45. I just dont want it to look funny

Looking for that tread with the all the rear pics of tires but cant seem to find it.

But im currently looking at a 305/40/18's. NT555 Dr's
Id like to stay with a 295/40 but seems the only tires they make in that size is the ones im already running the falken street tires. Dont wanna go with a 295/35 just cause the rims i have i bought them with with the front wheels sporting the 255/45's so going shorter in the rear wheels will look funky and 45's is to tall for my taste.

Can someone tell me if id have any problems running at 305/40 on an 18x11" wide wheel lowered on sportlines with lca and relocation brackets, any rubbing issue??

I went with 305 40 18's, and they fit perfect on a 9.5 inch rim..Here is a pic..I think you will be ok with an 11" rim and 305's though..

I'm running the 555R's in a 305/45/18 on 10" rims. They balloon out a bit but not much. They might be a touch big for 9.5" though. I don't have Sportlines, only the Pro-kit, but no rubbing issues yet. Here is a couple of views so you can get a good idea. Hope they help.

Mid to high 12's depending on how well you heat the DR prior to launch and the track conditions...where are you located? Altitude will mess with times too...
