Hello, ive posted before here, i lurk around more then post. I dont have a 4.6 3v mustang but i do have a 5.4L 3v. My truck has a magnacharger and im boosting 9 psi. Now my question is, is 20 * of timing to high for 9 psi. It hits 20* around 5000 rpms.. (timing progresses with rpms not intant 20)...

For 91 or 93 octane, yes its too much timing. I would stop at 18* with regular pump gas. You should be running at least 100 octane for 9psi and 20* max timing. Can you hear any detonation or pinging?

not a sign of pining or detonation..

on a SCT X2 under user adjustment:

SPARK ADJUSTMENT Global Spark: -5 to +5 degrees
RPM Adjustment Spark:
0 - 2000RPM: -14 to +4 degrees
2000 - 4000RPM: -8 to +4 degrees
4000 - 8000RPM: -8 to +4 degrees
'

the RPM ranges is that for WOT adjustments?
