Nice work! The landscaping turned out awesome.

I too have a house built in the 50's and have been slowly updating things. Right now I am in the process of putting ceramic tile in my kitchen.

Thanks...Most of the easy stuff is done...Now onto replacing all doors/closet doors thoughout the house, new tile in the kitchen, dining room, laundry room, and both bathrooms, as well as new countertops. Im also convertin my dual bay carport into a garage...Then comes to the small details like thresholds(sp?) and then trim around the baseboards where it meets the hardwood since there is a gap from removing carpet...It's all for fun.

You are doing a wonderful job of updating your home! We just recently, less than four years ago, completely redid our house too. It's a 1987 house though, not from the 50's. We had that horrible siding made out of pressed cardboard....forget what it's called now, and I put Hardy Board up over it. I love your brick though. Any plans on a new shed in the back to consolidate the two you have?

Finally redid the landscaping in the front yard..

Redid the design of the bed, added a crape mrytle on each corner of the house, added yaupon holly's, and loropetalum...Still waiting to plant some knockout roses and lantana...And then add in some landscaping lights. But here are the pics thusfar

Just a note: Its still winter, so plants are still dormant. Will look more healthy in spring/summer. And I havent layed down the rest of the pinestraw yet either
