OK - I've finally got found some time to look at my data and summarize the results from Sunday at TMP. This is a short flat track with 14 corners;

http://www.torontomotorsportspark.com/raceway/faq.html

The weather was great and there were about 20 to 25 cars there. Those running seriously on the track were mainly Porsches, Corvettes, Vipers and 3 Mustangs, all with FI. In the pit area there were some real exotics including an Audi R10 and an R8 as well as Maseratis, Ferraris and a Lambo.

This was my first real day of the season and first time in earnest with the new Nitto NT01s (for the last two seasons I ran KDW2s). Brake pads were upgraded to Carbotech Xp10 front and XP8 rear. Total time on the track was almost 2 hours and nearly 3 tanks of gas!

At the end of last year my best 2 laps were 1:28.9 & 1:29.3 and the total of the best segments was 1.26.9. On Sunday my 2 best laps were 1:26.5 and 1:28.0 but the most interesting thing was the totals from the best segments in each session;
Session 1 1:26.341
Session 2 1:26.287
Session 3 1:26.530
Session 4 1:27.946
Session 5 1:27.247
Session 6 1:28.934
Session 7 1:27.804
Session 8 1:25.451

There was some one else out there who had a simply amazing lap time but I'll not spill the beans.

My car ran like a charm and there were no signs of brake fade

After looking at the videos I see some places where work is needed on my line. The brakes are also so good that it will take more time to get used to how good they are.

The NT01s were great and give an audible warning near the limit.

Videos to follow once they are edited down to You Tubes 10 minute limit. Chasing down and passing Porsches is fun fun fun :) :)

As promised here is a vid of my chasing but not catching a Porsche Cayman. This was my first day on R-comps and the Cayman was also on Nitto NT01s. Lap 2 when I was first catching up to him was my fastest lap of the day.

a couple of other FI Mustangs

Note that speed in the video is actually MPH even though the label says KPH - software bug.

This was my first time with the second camera operating and putting the PIP in the bottom right was not the best place :(
Here is the section from the manual explaining the QView at the left of the data overlay -

"Qview™ is an innovative way to visualize the performance of a car as it drives around the track. It combines lateral acceleration, longitudinal acceleration, and speed differences into a single graphic that is easy to grasp.
Notice that we have switched to a view directly over the car, as if you are a helicopter flying and turning with it. As you scroll forward in time, the track will pass underneath you. The top of the display is the forward direction of the car.
The width of each block is proportional to lateral acceleration
The length (in the direction of travel) of each block is proportional to longitudinal acceleration

The inside color is red for braking, blue for accelerating. Intense red is hard braking, intense blue hard acceleration. White means you are neither braking nor accelerating

Blocks are 0.2 seconds apart"

Your on screen display is awesome, I've never a video that displays so much data. One question though, the speed is in mph isn't it?

I'mna have to watch those when I get home too. I am using the same brake combo that you are. Brembos with XP10 in front and XP8 in rear. Very impressed here also.

You are correct the numeric speed in the video is MPH even though the label says KPH. Thanks for noticing that. This is the first time I set it to KPH and it looks like there is a software bug as it is not doing the conversion.

Is it just me or is the video extremely choppy? I'm getting fast photography here.

Yes the video is choppy and sometimes the sound is out of sync.

I think adding the second camera was too much for the Netbook which is used to collect the data and video streams. Last year it was smoother with just one camera and data.

I'm at Mosport May 28 so am going to try it with only one camera as well as both cameras.
