Tnx 07 Boss.

Yesterday I was at a meeting and there a mecanic told me that "D "was out of the question because that would cause to much movement in the fluid to measure it correct.

So many different opinions :(

You are correct and I was wrong. I remember lifting the car and running through all of the gears and then checking the level in Park. I must have gotten confused.

No problem, you weren't the first one that told me to do it in 'D' so some guys really seem to do it that way.

Wouldn't it just be a lot easier if it could be done, standing still on a leveled floor with a cold, not running car :)

hmmm, did 4 WOT runs yesterday quickly after each other to log the current tune and saw the trans temp rise till 227 after the last one ...

My brakes also started to fade after the last run :(

Was this with overdrive on or off? I don't know much about autos but I know going in and out of OD at WOT is terrible for the tranny.

Can anybody ID this part?

So I'm sure my fluid are on a good level but the car still does not shift poperly.

Searching underneath the car I came across this thing where I think the cable is going through.
There is no explanation about what this does in the haynes manual.
Can this be used to adjust the cable in some way?
It has some kind of turning head so I suppose it does something but I'm not sure what.
