No cams. The tune was for an intake, and my TB was pretty damn clean. Like I said it gets better every time I drive, so no issues on my end!

I was just giving my experience of the learning, it took my car like 4 outings last year to get it, and I reflashed it a month ago for emissions and its getting back to normal after 4 outings this year.

Thanks for the concern though. Hopefully cams will be soon though

Yellow,

To verify that it is or is not the tune can't you unplug the MAF. If it idles it is the tune, if it still acts the same it is not the tune but it is something else?

Finally got it to idle, after a long battle of playing with the gas trying to keep the rpm
s stablized. i just decided to turn the a/c on... it sits there and idles now? weird.

Let it idle for idk how long but it was a good while, turned it off to and back on to see if it would idle by itself without my help. No dice.

Welcome to the world of cams. Startup is always a bitch. My camaro was a pita to drive :/ until it was at temp.

My suggestion: email tunes are awesome over stock and you can't beat the price, but once you add a blower or cams you need a dyno tune :/ every car is different.

Skip a tooth on a cam gear I assume.

You need to go COMPLETELY over the engine bay and check for any potential vacuum/air leaks. Physically touch and slightly tug on all lines to make sure they are secure. Listen for any adventitious sounds that may indicate a leak somewhere. Clean MAF and Throttle body with Carb cleaner or Throttle body cleaner. Secure MAF and Intake well. Check for any codes with SCT tuner and report if any. Disconnect battery for 10-15 minutes, reconnect and reflash with a clean flash and not one where you've had to start over because you screwed up or something.

Do what AandF suggested and disconnect the MAF and try to start the car.

If all else fails, I'd suspect your timing is off, but I'd STILL hope it was a tune issue and save tearing the front cover off to check timing as a last ditch effort to resolve the problem.

Guess I'll have to try that after i get a ride to work lol. Still doesn't idle well and the car is slower than it was before the tune xD.

Yeah, something isn't right there. I literally just loaded that same file into a CDC3 manual GT that we have here with Hot Rods and delete plates. It had a Steeda intake, but I threw on the C&L Racer off of my 07. Drives completely fine (speedometer is way off, but that's because I forgot to change the gears back). If I could get you to datalog variable cam in both banks at idle, I'd really like to see if it's off a tooth.

My car does this same exact thing, but through a different tuner! However, after driving for a bit, like when my car gets up to operating temp., it idles OK. It does drop kinda low when approaching a stop but it seems to catch itself. I hope mine is tune-related, especially because I had a very well know shop/tech install my cams and it made GREAT power on their dyno...

Okay I need something done about my car asap until I can get a dynotune. It drives like shit and dies constantly and misfires. Its my only form of transportation so I have to drive it. That is the only reason Im making this such a BIG deal. If anyone can chime in it would be appreciated very much.

Thanks, Jonathan

Jonathan, it sounding more like you jumped timing. A simple cam change that goes correctly is easily tuned via email from these guys, no dynotune needed.

I'm concerned it's out of time if you've gone over the engine bay with a fine tooth comb for leaks. You and Kyle may be taking the front cover off sooner than later.

+1 I believe there is something physically wrong with your car and jumping a tooth on the cam is getting pretty conclusive.

Something to consider here too Jonathan, a guy in the "Delete Plate fiasco thread" is reporting that his deletes are not flat. If your delete plates that you bought from Chris are not flat as well, you'll have problems!!!! Before you start tearing into the front of the motor, I'd put your old CMCV's back in and try to get a tune for your EXACT mods again. If you're still having issues......................check timing.
