Turbo Saleen final steps

^^Last spring I added the +2lb spring in my wastegate and went from 6lbs to 11lbs. Be careful and keep an eye on the boost gauge. I am running a hallman knockoff MBC now to add the 2lbs.

Would I be better off adding a spring lower than the 6 lb like the 2 or 4? And adding boost with a controller on top of that?

Oh okay. Im going to be running the 6lb plus the 2lb in mine. I thought about adding a Turbosmart Eboost Street electronic controller at somepoint though. That way I could just put the 2lb or something in there and turn it up to whatever I felt lol

Why not just have the 6# and turn it up from there?

I'm no expert but I would think the 2# spring is just going to open up often, since there are only 2#s of tension in the wg. Waiting to order the turbo still? What's your progress?

Yeah still waiting. I'm going to be buying some injectors Friday and ordering the turbo and pump set up on the 28th. I've gotten everything ready just need the turbo. I can probably knock out the rest of the install in a day or so though.

they run 2 springs for a reason
It makes the boost more predictable and controllable

remember the 2 springs together even though one is a lighter spring will be added together

So a 4 lb and a 2 lb will = 6 lb,s total

On our way home, there was a F350 next to us at a stop light, inching up like he was going to take off on green, light goes green I just take off easy, he does too. He keeps making the turbo spool and looks at us laughing. I'm in second gear around 3200 rpm waiting for him to do it again... Here he goes, I give my throttle a little tap, spools up, pulls hard and back on the brake, lol. He got an earfull of boost and bov, I dont think they expected that at all bcs he was laughing pretty hard giving us the thumbs up. Thought it was pretty funny.

Oh yeah, this was all a dream in Mexico our never happened...lol

I will be doing a dumped wastegate too. My buddy has a built turbo 3v and it sounds so much more mean with that wastegate screaming.

My wg is dumped too, just haven't quite hit the spring yet, can't wait!

Lito had mine dialed in, in 3 tunes. Start up, Idle logged, new tune, drive and log, new tune. Perfect.
