You shouldn't have brake lockup at all in that car.

And the car in front of you that changed lanes so quickly without signaling was because you two idiots were coming up on him fast while trying to race. You're lucky you didn't cause an accident.

Was it dry, maybe what you felt was not brake lockup? That car should never have brake lockup in any situation.

Yes it was dry...I could feel it and hear it...it was just a second as soon as I let up on the brakes just a bit it unlocked.
It has never happened before.
I wonder if it was because it was the outside rear wheel, the corner was to the left and because of the brake dive the rear end has to lighten up a lot and add the left turn to that and that left rear tire is lifting a lot.
It definitely locked up...

I don't have a tude...I was called an idiot....maybe I was a bit...he wasn't moving over because we were coming up on him he moved from the far right lane into the center to pass a slower car. We were in the inside lane.
Speeding is never a good idea don't do it.
Still the same thing could happen at regular speed...

All I hear is whining, how about we stay on the brake topic. It's a good possibility you shifted the weight off that tire and braked at just the right time for an initial lock and then realease. Has it ever happened before? If not then it was probably just a freak thing. Even a 2011 will break loose if you try hard enough.

Well your kind of SOL because no tech will be able to duplicate that, but on a car with ABS and EBD you should never under any circumstances get lock up without the ABS reacting to it.

85mph isn't that high of speed, but if you look at high speed braking tests especially involving high clamping systems like Brembo you'll notice every once in a while the brakes will grab and lock for a second then begin the typical ABS braking. It's usually not enough to even notice but it happens. Technically ABS should never lock, it should release and then clamp again everytime it begins to lock.

Ok that makes sense. Just wanted to double check to see if anybody else's brakes had done this.
As I said before it has never happened before and I drive a lot of curvy hiway roads so if it was going to be problem it would have occured before now I imagine.

I've pushed my brakes (Brembos) pretty hard at Miller Motorsport Park and I've never had lockup on front or rear. I don't brake til I see Jesus, so if they were to ever lockup that would be the time to do it. Maybe you hit a particular slick spot, or were on a painted line or something.
