I know your expecting to see marks car but i am the one who bought most of his old parts and made the mini-killer!!!!

SO here goes the story the best i can remember...it all started when he decided to sell his 4R70 tranny. so i took the 800 mile drive to cali and got to see his car in pieces for the first time. pick up all the parts and headed back. I was talking to mark on the phone and he was telling me about the whipple issues he was having. well that is when he told me he was going to sell it and 200 miles later i called him back up and closed the deal.

well a month later i had all the parts and we started the build. i had a spare engine so we tore it apart and had it machine and i bought a forged internal setup and go going on the build. 3 weeks later it rolled out of the bay and then we started the tuning. we were on the dyno making adjustments and ran into some cooling problems and to make a long story short we lost the new engine on the dyno. i saw at one point 434 rwhp at 4200 rpms....it was a beast getting ready to roar but it decided it didnt have it in it. so towed it back to the shop and had the engine torn down. what we found was a damaged block, one damaged head, and 8 trashed pistons that never saw any real running. so the parts ordering started all over again. I dropped the compression down to 8.25:1 and got the short block together. I bought a set of comp cams with beehive springs since it was apart again and installed them. Did lockouts and covered up the holes for the variable cam sensors and powered coated the valve covers and several other parts. got the engine back in 3 months later and will be starting it up tomorrow morning if all goes well. I also bought a snow meth kit and you can see the injection at the TB. The shop was creative and installed a second coolant res on the right side and converted it to the meth bottle. it looks slick!! I installed a second temp gauge in a vent pod so i have double readings to protect the engine.

I also installed a 10 gallon fuel cell in the trunk as an intercooler res so i can ice the system before runs!!

here are some updates for you mark

3rd gear was fine in the tranny

remember the air kit used to be blue...well the shop didnt want to cover your artwork and they painted around it and put there logo over it...i think it came out great...after that they decided to create stickers which looks like it. you inspired some fruitcakes down here!!! feel special!!!

well that is my humble build and it not the REAL CHEVYKILLER but i hope i made you proud MARK!!!!

Well with a turn of a key and some gas WE GOT FIRE!!!! idles just fine and now setting up for the dyno time on tuesday. we are not leaving the engine there again.

as for the washer res no i do not have a res at the moment...i am going to figure something out down the road so i am fully functional

It is spelled "padawan" and the only way you can make Mark proud is if you take it apart four more times and get three more shops to work on it. Plus, you have to threaten to sell it a minimum of three times.

Looks good. Your car is going to be a beast, too bad about that first motor though.
