I wanna upgrade/retrofit my 2007 GT to 2011-13 spec catback.

Are the exhaust hangers all that's needed to convert?

Any decent exhaust shop should be able to get the hangers and pipes correctly done

It would probably be easier just to modify the axleback, they are pretty similar minus the flange.

Looking at the design of the hangers it looks like it will work but want to make sure before I throw my money on it.

Two things I wanna get out of doing this is:

1: More secure muffler hanging (two post as opposed to one)

2: more exhaust options available

What exhaust are you looking at? Just curious because most available for 11-14 are available for 05-09

The 11-14 over axle pipes are 2.75" I believe where the 05-10 is 2.5", so you may need to figure out something there as well

I'm looking to do the same, I want 2010+ gt500 mufflers, apparently 2010 is direct fit all I can find though are 2011-12. Both with and without the over axle pipes

I used FRPP FRS-500 muffler's on my 2010. They are made from 409 SS alloy for the muffler. The 3.5" diam tips are made from 304 SS, nice and shiny. They also make em for the 05-09 cars. The difference is the tips on the 2010 version are 1" longer. Both versions are 2.5" on the input side. I believe the 2010 GT-500 muffler tips are also 1" longer vs the 07-09 versions, and both versions of the GT-500 use 4" tips. Dunno if the GT-500 uses 2.5" or something bigger on the input side.

This had nothing to do with either the original posters or my question.

I'm pretty sure all the 05-10 midpipe exit is 2.5, stock coyote OTA pipes are 2.75, have to find way to connect those

No I meant that the Coyotes have 2.5 cat/midpipe then steps up to 2.75.

But after further reasearch looks like the Coyote is 2.75 all the way.

So I would need to tapper it down 1/4" at the midpipe.

Your proposed 2010 GT-500 mufflers on a 05-09 car will no doubt result in the tips being 1" too long, that was my point.

RIP - You will be missed

Have you got a picture of what you're getting at here?

I will mention that adding a new restraint location on a pipe that gets heated pretty hot can cause more problems that you think you're solving by adding it. (I did pipe stress analysis for steam pipes for too many years to not transfer what I learned there over to the world of automotive exhaust lines, and I've fabbed a few custom exhaust systems for my own cars along the way.)

I have Pypes Violators right now. They have two posts per muffler, coyote mufflers have three, two on the back and one in the front.
