I'm pretty sure this is incorrect. You don't need to re-tune if you put in breathers. Someone agree or disagree.

how it was with mine. The tune was all jacked up after i put this on with the air/fuel. Did some adjusting and it is a perfect line of 11.50 now. I didn't change anything else do cause my air/fuel to drop to a 10.

SoundGuyDave you are absolutely correct. I wish I was home right now, I'd take photo's of my setup to show another example of a correctly installed "seperator" in my PCV system. On mine, I T'd both valve covers together then into the seperator, maintaining a sealed system. Then from the bottom of my Stef's seperator back to the air filter. I've had my system on my car for 2 years now with 0 issues or mess.

It's just amazes me sometimes how some guys just can't comprehend the simplist concepts.

Wheelman you should go back to allfordmustangs if they are all so knowing over there. Maybe they can teach you which side of an AN fitting requires teflon tape and which doesn't!

If you're going to be a douche, you should at least be right. There's not a damn thing wrong with the OP's setup.

Maybe I should have been more specific! Yes the OP's setup is still a sealed system and is correct, except for the teflon tape job.

Others argueing vented vs. nonvented, need to tune, don't need to tune, etc... in this thread and others like it over the past few years is more of what I'm refering to.
This is a simple mod, that seems to generate quite a few threads from time to time with a lot of confusion and misinformation.

If I sound like a douche try to forgive me, I'm at work in the Middle-East right now, completely surrounded by stupid people, and have less patients at times like this. Someone coming on here with 11 posts to his name, suggesting the "motorheads" on some other forums are smarter than the "motorheads" here rubs me the wrong way, especially when the 2 forums he mentioned are a joke!

I don't think so. There are plenty of guys with blowers running this set-up without being vented as the top picture, he's got a Vortec. But don't take my word. Just ask the other motorheads at Allfordmustangs.com or Moddedmustangs.com. They'll be as puzzled as I am with you guys. But hey...I don't know it all. We're all here to learn from each other. I just know a few of us bought the oil cap vent and it spewed oil all over the motor and belts. OK for racing but not a DD.

I was merely tring to share a new mod I was proud of. I truly never intended to step on so many toes especially being new to your site. If you read the post above I never communicated that motorheads were smarter at other forums...I only mention that my experience with other motorheads at the two other sites never once anybody brought up a vented PCV system and that's the only point I was trying to make. I plainly say "I don't know it all and we're all here to learn"
Maybe being all Ford guys we can "make-nice" and give 'ol Wheelman a chance. Teflon boo-boo and all. lol

If you read my post , I said " I DONT THINK ITS CONNECTED CORRECTLY " I was only trying to help , There are different pro's and cons on how to set it up . I didn't notice if your car was boosted or not. Here's my set up:

Bring this back from the dead b/c I have a question. When you guys bought your UPR catch can, did it have metal shavings/debris in it? My friend noticed mine did before we were about to install it and I don't like the idea of those shavings/debris getting into the engine. I decided to wait until I get an answer. Thanks.

Mine did have shavings, so to speak. long thin shavings cramed in there. I couldn't blow them out with 120psi air gun. I doubt if the engine could suck them in and I could see how it would cause the vaper to gather and drop down in the can.
