Interesting theory...

I think the economic situation probably is contributing pretty heavily but it might not be a lack of money, it might be more people just being more sensible with money.

I'd love to buy a new car but I doubt I ever will purely as it saves money, I got my Bullitt heaps cheaper than new and it only had 4k miles on it and still has plastic protectors from factory on some stuff.

used cars and used Mustangs in particular sure seem to be more money around Ore/Wa right now. I had to take our SUV in for a recall and the Suzuki dealer is also a Hyundai dealer. My wife looked at the window sticker of a new Hyundai SUV, a Santa Fe maybe ? Almost $40 grand for a small ute ? Pass. Shit my 2001 Suzuki XL-7 is barely broke in with just 150,000 miles on it. 6 years without a payment on that one. Cheaper to keep her.

That actually makes me think of all those eco-dickheads who bought a Prius or something to 'save the world' but they fail to realise it does less harm and creates less carbon emissions to keep an old awesome car running than it does to actually build a boring electric box with no real automotive merits.

Just another reason to buy a used car, you do less harm to the environment than building a Hybrid/Electric car and can still burn them from the lights. :highfive:
