Valve seal install protectors?

Hey good people, I will be replacing my valve stem seals soon in my 2014 GT and as luck has it, my new seals didn't come with an installation protector sleeve. For those who have done this job, what did you use or where can I find this? I saw a youtube video where someone used a piece of soda straw? I definitely don't want to do this job twice as it's quite labor intensive and monotonous.

Plastic straw will work. A wrap of electrical tape covering the lock grooves will work also.
