I was thinking about purchasing 17X9 V45 wheels from Vintage Wheel Works for my 2006 S197. I would have to order with a custom offset, which is fine because the wheels would stick out 1/2" more than my stock 18" Polished Bullitts.

Tires, 275/50/17 would be fine in the wheel well and would look "retro". Only thing is I have NEVER seen another 2005 or newer car with them. Anybody?

Why not run the 17x11's in the rear?.....

It will look good either way...I say go for it....

I do like those, but if it was my money I'm not sure if I could justify the extra cost over the other Torq-Thrust/Bullit-style wheels out there. Also, I think the 5-3/4" backspacing (ther largest listed without affecting the look of the wheel) will be borderline on your car...I would think 6-6.25 would look better. But by all means go for it...I'm sure it will look great!
