vinyl wrap interior

recently I made a small scratch on my console.to fix it I decide to try some 3m carbon fiber to cover it.I was surprise with the result so I decide to make the dash and the steering.I'm very happy with the final result.
the vinyl is 3m 1080 black.

Looks great! One of my buddies did the same on the interior of his car. Was all scratched up and getting tired from DD use and this freshened it up really nicely.

Looks great, I did similar but as I have a premium I didn't want to cover the aluminum-look dash, I did cover the center stack and center console as well as the window switch plates, headlight switch panel, door handle surrounds, & lock plunger bezels. I've found the vinyl to be susceptible to wear and scratching though. Going to have to replace a couple of pieces eventually.

The stuff holds on really good if you prep the area and use a little extra adhesive. I wrapped a cowl seat on my ZX10r with the same thing he used and it been thru rain, high speed and sometimes sits out side in direct sunlight, it been over a year and its still good, no fades. Its actually a pretty tough material.

I's not a kit you have to buy a roll.

Great job on this, did you slice the wrap down the center of the airbag section or did you leave it as 1 piece covering both top and bottom?

Looks great. I've been thinking I'd like to do mine, although the GT500's don't look terrible as it is and it would mean removing my new badge already and applying it over top of the vinyl.

Wow, this looks great! I have been thinking of having those same pieces hydro-dipped CF, but I got a price quote and it was more than I was willing to spend. I may have to give the 3M wrap a try.

Is the material pretty easy to work with? Looks like the steering wheel trim pieces would be pretty difficult to do.

I think the CF wrap is difficult to apply because it's easy to stretch/distort the pattern. You did a great job!

Silver carbon fiber would look really good for us that dont want to lose the silver premium dash look.

Nice work for sure op.

I wrapped my radio faceplate and window switch covers with the "brushed black aluminum" from 3m. It is really great stuff.

Just Google 3m 1080.. they have tons of different styles and colors. I got mine from metro restyling on amazon. I'd say its not too hard after you get a practice run in. Just be sure to have a hair dryer as heat is essential!
