They havent released weight yet. Estimated price is 5k, half of a billet aluminum block. If i was in the market this is the route id go.

Has there been a problem with aluminum blocks failing?

Yes a lot of failures under boost. There have been a few fail even after being sleeved. Water jackets crack at the top of the cylinder.

I tough that problem got resolved with the revised block in the gen 2 or gen 3 engines? I thought Ford changed the reinforcing around the top of the cylinder.

Yes it's better but anything over 700rwhp, 550rwtq, and 12psi of boost is still testing the limit.
