what am i missing?

Ok my shaker 500 went out and decided to install a double din once again. I have the same issue I had before. The radio will not work with the metra harness hooked up normally. Have to clip the power and use a fuse tap to power the run power on the radio from the sjb fuse. It works but I want it to work like the factory and have the time delay and have power on first key click.
I've read what I can find on tacobill write up but I must be blind to something, relay maybe?
Any help would be appreciated.

I hooked up my double din a few weeks ago. No issues here. Do you have the correct harness? If so, is the 12V constant power from the radio connected to the corresponding one on the harness and the 12V accessory from the radio connected to the corresponding one on the harness? Maybe you crossed these?

No relay needed.

I figured it out. My car is a 09 and had the canbus plug. The acc wire is dead on my harness. I just hooked it up to the delayed accessory fuse and all is like factory now.
