I'm really torn on the whole nano sealant scene. Sometimes I enjoy detailing my car / truck but than sometimes the aspect of not having to do it is appealing. I really like the look of Lava and Americana on my black vehicles...

i picked up a pc7424 buffer from auto geek with the foam pads. only used it once, but looks like its gonna be great and the cars will look good this summer. i hit it with some maguirs polish and then my colonite wax, but i want to get some of the wolf gang polish for the next time. it did remove a ton of swirl marks. good tool

PC is an awesome tool for detail cars. It's kind of fun to do if you enjoy doing such work as I do.

Hey guys the free shipping code for autogeek works again!

Thanks for the heads up, I'm going to make an order this week!

I bought a PC about 3 weeks ago and 3M 3 step compounds, Mothers cleaner wax, and some of the stuff to get the water spots off the windows then a ton of pads. a little over $300 in stuff.

I didnt use the products on my mustang yet, i used them on my truck to start with, the truck is a 2001 blue dodge ram with 10" of lift so i was on the ladder a lot, lol. the truck was in bad shape, its outside all day every day, lots of eched in water spots on body and paint, chrome bumpers are dull.
So, i went to town, clay bar, #1, #2, then #3 and then wax, to say the least the truck looks amazing, i didnt get all the scratched and swirls out but about %90 and %100 of the water spots are gone , the surface feels like smooth marble. I hit all the chrome with mother mag polish and i got a chuby with the results of the "look new" bumpers. did the windows with the widow cutter, had to do it a good bit but in the long run almost every water spot is now gone. i wish i did this a long time ago.

My mustang is up next, i had to order new pads today, the truck did a number on these, i really didnt want to have the old pads on the mustang.

Blue guard is nice, if you get it on the paint, give it about 20-30 min, then try to wipe it off, it comes off a lot easier when you detail spray over it and it has dried.

Thanks for the tip, I am usually pretty meticulios applying dressings and such but some places it's almost impossible not to hit the paint a little. I usually go back around with QD afterwards as a habit.

Ya, I use those little cotton circle pads women use to wipe make up off with for trim dressings.

The lake country pads are all nice, I would recommend getting at least two of each....save for the gold pad. I've never used anything softer than a blue for waxes. If you are going to add a sealant to your regimen get black pads for that application.

Regarding the CG cleaner I'd say its a solid product. Make sure that when you're using it on microfibers to separate your towels based on what you used them for....windows, vs quick detail, vs etc.

Didn't know there was one? I looked in my email before I ordered and the only recent special I received from autogeek was about the wheel cleaner.

Well it is a code for another forum but for future reference the code is autopia.
