Its about time perp. I knew youd come around.
If you are not doing it full time, then it will be very difficult to be mobile. I was concidering doing full time mobile detailing when I retired from active duty in 2010. The thing that killed me was San Antonio was in a major drought and I to document where I got my water from if I used a mobile tank. But the business model I was going for was all mobile with most of my business being done in company parking lots. Get your car done while at work. We have a lot of Tech savvy companies here in SA and most of those employees wouldn't mind paying the premium for a full onsite detail. I was also looking at PDR and windshield repair as well.
Yep I finally decided to take the coating plunge on the car. Synergy pushed me over the ledge. Like the idea of being able to apply a wax made for coatings. Not completely getting away from the nuba just yet.Its about time perp. I knew youd come around.
Just placed an order for Synergy. Have always gone the carnuba route on the stang, but decided i'm going to coat her W/ CQuartzUK and Synergy. Having just finished UKing my new Explorer pushed me to do it. Amazing on darker color paints. Used it before on silver and was just ehh on the looks. Protection wise UK is top notch though. Now I need to start downsizing my the waxes that I have as there is no need anymore. I'm stoked can't wait!!
Synergy over UK is a great combo. It will take away some of the gloss though but the beading and sheeting is incredible. It lasted for about 10 weeks till I noticed it started losing its effect.
Not sure if you've heard for CAR Bullet Proof Topper (Autoality)? That shit over UK is freakin amazing!!! It's makeup is similar too Reload but doesn't streak like Reload. It almost looks like you waxed with a high dollar nuba - what's even better is it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Also, you can apply to a car that's not coated...
Yep I've heard of the CAR line. Have used their Speed Seal, but only on wheels though, nothing else as of yet. Will have to look into the Bulletproof topper. I've seen quite a few guys using their coating w/ great success. I had a bit of a problem w/ the new version of Reload, like you said very streaky. Not impressed. Like the previous version better, much easier to work with.
I just got an email from a distributor for Polish Angel products. They have this new coating that's available for cold climates. Its called Viking Coat - not listed on their website...I can forward the email if interested but looks like ur going with UK which has been awesome so far for me. Definitely going to need the Reset soap if you don't have any...
Hows the Explorer? I'm been looking for an SUV myself, top 3 choices for me are Grand Cherokee Limited, Acura MDX, & Explorer...can't believe how much these suckers cost nowadays.
Thanks for the offer but I bought the 50ml to do mine and my sister in-laws suv's and will have plenty left over to do my car. Don't want it to go to waste. If UK wasn't so great I would check out Viking Coat as it does get pretty cold up here in CT haha. I have a small sample of Reset I wanted to try before I bought the bigger bottle, That good huh? Now that I think about it if you don't mind can you still forward the email to me, I still would like to check it out. I'll send you a PM.
I really like the Explorer. Much nicer than the Xterra I traded it in for. If it was for me I would have gone w/ the Sport, but since it's mainly the wifes ride I went w/ the XLT. I like the Jeep as well but went w/ the Ford cause I got a great deal on a 14 and 0% financing as they were trying to clear out the 14's for the 15"s. It was a choice between the Jeep and the Ford, just could pass up the deal I got. It is crazy what they are asking nowadays, sticker price was almost 40 grand.
Reset breaks down road grime and traffic films with the power of an alkaline cleaner but safe for the coating. I usually use Reset every 4-5 weeks.

Yeah I don't blame you there, very hard to pass up 0% financing. What is the difference between the XLT and Sport? Are the 3rd seats removable? 4X4?
I have a few clients that get weekly maintenance washes and I wash with Reset every time with great results. These are all cars with C'Quartz Finest, C'Quartz UK, Reload, and Hydr02.

The Sport comes w/ 3.5 twin turbo which is 365hp & 350trq and handling package. The XLT has 3.5 w/ 290hp and 255trq. Both have the 4x4 option which is a must here in CT w/ the snow. The 3rd row seat fold into the floor, you would never know they were there if you did't know about them. Overall i'm very happy w/ it so far. Any other ?'s let me know.
Got your email thanks. Have me thinking since its for cold weather climates. I'll let you know.
I will most likely pic up some Reset especially since the salt up here in CT is brutal. It really does a number on the under carriage of vehicles. The coating will need all the help it can get to fight off the salt.
Finest so jealous lol
Big price difference between XLT & Sport out here...

This is direct from Avi (Director of CarPro Worldwide)Agree with you there, all of the work I've seen by Finest installers is top notch! What is going on with Reload14? Leaves a crazy oily film afterwards...
Reload 2014-IMPORTANT NOTICE !![/B]
As you know we improved the Reload for the past 3 months, it is much more concentrated formula with more durability against chemicals . some customers have problems with applying it over dark color cars, for such car paints we advise you this:
1. Dilute the Reload 1:1 with DI water.
2.Shake well after and spray Generously over the surface! not to spray thin,
3. Once finished spray use 1 MF for spreading and buffing on the surface using same side face MF for the panel.
4. Use another MF for wiping off the excess left after, good wiping off that will leave the surface glossy and clear! use more pressure wiping if needed.
please follow these steps for best results!

Any questions are welcome in my PM, text, or email me
Thank You
Looked over the email about Polished Angels new coating, think i'm going to stick w/ UK for now. Unless I ever get a hold of Finest (which will never happen) just not worth trying out something new when UK is just that great.
Reload gave me fits. But then again I didn't follow the directions and tried it straight and sparingly on dark paint. Just didn't think it would have been SO different than the older version. Going to wash the Explorer this weekend w/ Reset and apply Reload diluted and see what kind of results I get.
