What to install first? Hmmm...

Ok I have a set of bbk udp's, long tubes, and o/r x on the way. I also have a set of stage 2 motha thumpr's on the way as well. What order would you install these? One by one and take note of the increases each part gives. Or just say screw it, clear my schedule and bang this out over a weekend... I'm just trying to get a game plan in my mind... Can't stop thinking about it!

Any comments or ideas welcome... I will also take lots of pictures and post them... Along with videos

I'd just take the weekend and do all of it. You already know what the outcome is gonna be so why screw around.

your gonna need the entire weekend after a few hospital visits if your doing your headers on your garage floor...

Do all at once. In order to get the full effect of some of the parts, you will need a retune. So unless you want to get a retune for every mod to see the real results, I would just do it all at once

I would do the cams and headers on separate weekends. You're going to pretty beat after doing the LT install.

Thanks for the input... I love my car to death but I hate crawling underneath it. I'm 6'5" 250lbs, with hands the size of dinner plates, and I can't tell you how much fun it is turning wrenches under there. Hell it's alot of work just getting the damn car in the air. I know it's gonna be well worth it and I can't wait to retire the worn out pirellis that are on there!

I say do the headers one weekend because honestly, you'll be cursing and throwing wrenches across the shop with the header install. I helped install a set on my buddy's GT and it was a nightmare. I'd save the cams and UDPs for another weekend. Those are some pretty labor intensive projects, so I'd budget extra time and possibly a ride to work during the week. lol

headers are gonna take you a full day if you wake up really early! id do cams and UDP together one day

ive had the longtubes on and off my car a few times and besides taking a long time to do i really didnt think it was that bad. not sure what brand you have but mine are pipes and went about as easy as possible for longtubes. just try to have someone else there to help hold the headers from the top side while your under the car if not using a lift, makes it alot easier.

Good advice here. It's funny, you can spend 15 mins trying to twist, rotate, and force a header into place, but the second you let go, it falls straight to the ground.

Headers will beat you up. Cams are a breeze. You should get some motor mounts to put in while doing the headers.

Why sell the udp's? I got a really good deal on them. is the install effort not worth the results? I also got some prothane motor mounts just didn't mention them.

This is just an IMO. I had them on my original motor. Install is easy. The motor harmonics changed, it got "buzzy". No gains. Nothing bad happened to the motor but when I switched back to the stock balancer the motor was noticeably smoother. I think a good balancer goes along way toward oil pump life.

Anyway it's just a personal opinon based on what I experienced.
