What's it worth? OEM HIDs

What is the fair market value for a used set of OEM HID headlights for 05-09? I know this was like a $2k option from Ford, but what are they worth nowadays in near mint condition? Thanks for the help. I searched the classifieds, but only found aftermarket HID kits that had sold.

They cost between 500 and 600 as an option on 09 cars. new threw the dealer they cost $793. each. If i were to sell mine i would want at lease 300.00 each. The replacement bulbs are $234.00 each

$300-400 each seems to be the going rate. I had to locate a pair for a customer of mine who didn't want to buy new.

Naw...I still have the sticker from my '09. Listed there as a $525.00 extra.

Sylvania has a nice online bulb replacement chart. They do make a HID replacement bulb, so any good auto parts store could get them for you. I'd suggest shopping around?

Suggested retail $200 for 2 bulbs. I'm pretty sure that shopping around would reduce that number.

Sorry if I was misleading with my original post about the dealer price as an option. I was told it the HID upgrade was a much more expensive option. I'll be posting my set in the classifieds soon with a price you guys have helped me arrive at. Thanks!

I just had to have my drivers side HID replaced due to a wreck, and the itemized $4K+ bill I received had a replacement 08 GT500 HID light listed for $1100. $525 might have been the option price, but what's the option price for the Recaros that have a $3000 FRPP price tag. Might have been where OP got his figures.

Right now you can get brand new OEM HID's through Tousley for about $800 each for both GT and GT500. Yes retail is much higher.
