Hey guys I am trying to do some research for a friend who is looking for some 20x12 (maybe 11.5 or 12.5) rear wheel options.

He is NOT interested in having any wheels widened.

I've thought of AG Function wheels, True Forged, CCW, etc but a lot of those aren't his style. If anyone knows of any quality wheels that have good size/offset options feel free to throw them out here. Thanks!!

Also, his budget doesn't quite allow for ADV1 or similar, although that was his first choice

Did you guys also research the mods to make them fit? I think you need to relocate shock mounts and bump stops?

If he can't find something he likes by TF, he's too picky!

Kompression, Niche, TSW, Vossen, etc... The problem is you're going to have a very tight window for width & offset combined with the bolt pattern.

1. What 'style' is he looking for?
2. What is his budget?
3. Suspension? Goals?

This so much. There are plenty of wheel manufacturers out there that will do custom offsets for him if he wants something at little to no extra charge. Id keep that in mind.

3. Suspension? Goals?

1. He Generally not a fan of mesh style wheels, mostly like 5-6 spoke wheels. Likes directional spokes but not sure if he's ballsy enough to try them.

2. His goal is to stay at under $2k but I've told him its probably not going to happen if he wants such specific sizes/offsets etc

3. He wants to run a 335/345 and he has figured out all of his necessities for it to fit the way he likes it, but that's the only reason for a bigger rim or he would keep his. Problem with keeping his is he needs the extra width of the wheel (hence no widening wheels) on the outer side for it to work. He thinks a +25 offset on the rear 12" wheel would work, with a 335 and it should be just less than 2" wider than his current setup.

1. Alright

2. You need to tell your friend to recalculate his wallet for what he wants

3.

-To give you an idea of what 20x12 with a +25 offset would be... My wheels are 20x12 with a +58 corrected offset (use of 3mm spacer/factory specs they are +61) - This setup with +25 offset and a 335 tire would stick out more than an inch further (roughly 33mm). My wheels are already past the fender pretty much at ride height. So unless he grows his budget substaintially to buy these custom wheels and custom fender work... this is a long shot.

Best way for your friend to get 335s and somewhat closer to his budget would be a 19x11.

To get remotely close to what he wants, I would budget at least 1200-1500 a wheel. Possibly more. This is entirely custom and won't be sitting on a shelf to ship immediately.

It's one of those things... if you want something custom and want it to work the way you envision... you need to pay for it.

335's are nice, but really they are just for bragging rights IMO. Is it really worth it for him? Despite the custom offsets and what not, it's not going to change the fact that fitting a 20" 335 under a S197 is difficult to do without widened fenders.

He just wants to be different than everyone else, and there are not a lot of avenues to do so anymore.

He's been trying to use the site you showed me, but we both suck at it haha thats why i think the offset could be way off!

***EDIT*** Happy birthday Cam!

Cam is right. It sounds like a case of champagne tastes on a beer budget.

What he wants to spend, yes beer budget, but if I know him, he will end up pony'ing up to the cost to do it.

Forgestar is about the only wheel I can think of that could come close in offsets but they're going to make them with a "no refund" type of agreement. 20x12 wont clear without some modifications. That's the only wheels I can think of that would actually fall within the 2k range.

There's wanting to be different and then there's wasting money in my opinion. A set of nice fitting 11" wheels would be easier to find and more affordable. Figure out your offset window for an 11" wide wheel and start browsing online stores looking for non-standard options.

Before I bought my current wheels I was looking for a 20x10" wheel to run in a square setup with around a +40mm offset and found 50+ that you'd never see on a "normal mustang aftermarket site" that would have stood out like green hair in a good way at any Mustang show. In the end money talked and I settled for a wheel that is a little more common, but even still the square setup makes it a little different than the rest.
