On the American Muscle website, why are the Eibach Pro-Spacer Hubcentric Wheel Spacers (Item#47842) are OK to use with the stock wheels but the Billet Aluminum Hubcentric Wheel Spacers (Item #50003) not OK for use on the factory rims?

There is an $80difference between the two parts that look the same otherwise. Both are hubcentric and the same width.

I emailed AM and they said that neither would work with stock rims but didnt go into why. I want to get this ordered, but I also want it to work on my car.

Would triming the stock wheel studs solve the issue?

Hey Rus - I caught your other thread and I believe it's due to the very small difference in size. If you wanted to give them a try to see if they'll fit I'm more than happy to cover the return shipping back to us if they will not!

I believe the reason they won't work with the stock wheels is because the factory studs and nuts stick out past the face of spacer about 3/16". Most aftermarket wheels have an indention between the bolt holes which allow clearance. The factory wheels are flatter and won't bolt up flush to the face of the spacer.
