You might also snug them by hand and then torque them down so one side doesn't bind up.

Ground control is ricer junk, as far as I'm concerned. Go with Maximum Motorsports or Vorshlag.

I've run Maximum Motorsports plates at countless autocrosses and thousands of street miles. Never had any problems with them. I like the fact that they include adapters for '10+ S197s in their kits.

Vorshlag's pieces are also very good.

that looks like someone got to it with a grinder between you and ground control. my studs looked like the others, thicker, level head with paint on them. mine are nice and quiet and i don't have any complaints in 10,000 miles.

Yeah mine had definitely been ground down. I don't think it was sabotaged though. Oh well, the new ones will be here Thursday and this weekend hopefully this whole ordeal will be over with.

Well they got rid of the popping noise from my factory strut mounts. I still have a slight clunk that was there before, but from what I've read that is sway bar related.
