I'm guessing this is tech, if not, please move to the correct spot.

Hope someone can help me out here.

Lately I have noticed that on occasion my car will make a whining noise while turning into a parking spot. I swear it sounds like it is coming from the back of the car. The only times I ever hear it is if i'm turning fairly slow into a parking spot and usually right before I turn the wheel straight.

I do not think it is power steering since I can turn the wheel any which way and get no noise. This will only happen while rolling and at a fairly slow speed. Again, I feel that it is coming from the rear, but have no idea why that would be or what the noise would be.

traction lok clutches making noise maybe. If so it's nothing to worry about.

Friction modifier will cure it if from the rear end. Usually it'll make a groaning noise, though, on low-speed turns.

Rear diff. Try the friction modifier first.

Is this something I should take care of ASAP, or is it just an aggravating noise? I'm not sure the next time I will be able to get the car up to add friction modifier.
