Hey guys...
So, I've searced the forums and google and haven't been able to find much useful information. I have a 2005 gt manual with about 40,000 miles, and the transmission whines pretty bad. It seems to be the loudest in low gears, but is in all gears including neutral. It gets higher pitched as speed increases rather than being related to RPM, but disappears when I push in the clutch. I also seem to get some sort of chatter when I push in the clutch while moving. The extent of what I've been able to find online is the following TSB:
TSB #18753
NHTSA ID #10017871
Date Announced:
JULY 01 2005
Summary: GEAR ROLLOVER NOISE. *TT
That is all I have been able to find on that TSB... no repair guides or anything. I'm thinking it could be either loose bellhousing bolts or low transmission fluid. anyone else have any input on this? Also, is there any way to check trans fluid on a manual other than just draining and refilling it?
Thanks!
