How big is the lower pulley for that kit?
If you go back to 6 rib you will need:
Stock balancer $35
Blower snout $250 (I think, it could be more)
Blower pulley $140 (I think)
Good belt tensioner $90 minimum
Belt $45
That's the bare minimum. You may be missing idlers or something too.
Do this. Figure out what size lower that is they're trying to sell you. And find out what size 6 rib upper pulley comes with that blower to make 450hp at 10-11psi. I will be able to tell you how much the Steeda kit actually makes then.
Worse case I can make you an upper pulley so you're making 450hp. You wil have spent less money than going back to 6 rib and you will have a belt system that's 100x better.
I found all the below information from the Mustang 360 article that is basically my application but an automatic. It has then Gen 2 Whipple. I'm unsure if mine i the 1 or 2 version?

The stock balancer pulley checks in at 6.5-inches while the Whipple blower pulley is 3.5-inches. The Steeda pulleys feature a 2.5-inch upper and a 5-inch lower, (11-13psi) which bolts on to the Steeda balancer. Using a calculator, the pulley ratios are different with the Steeda pulleys spinning the supercharger faster (Whipple's 1.85:1 versus Steeda's 2:1). That meant the more aggressive Steeda pulleys would turn the blower faster at a given rpm, resulting in more boost down low and upstairs.
The Steeda 10-Rib set-up produced 479rwhp with the 11-13psi kit. The 6-Rib set-up made 459rwhp.
I'm thinking this should be mostly safe. I won't be racing my Mustang at the track or drag strip. Just for fun as it is my summer car.
I myself won't run over 450rwhp and 6,000rpm. And I'm going to do it at the lowest boost possible. You can make 450rwhp with 14lb of boost. But your tuner will have to kill the timing a little to get it done. Then you have the extra boost which means higher IAT's for no reason.
I can easily make you an upper that will spin the blower at your desired RPM (11,150rpm) which would be 2.7". But that is assuming that your stuff is all stock. With your mods that 11,150rpm blower speed could get you 475rwhp. Or 495rwhp. What you really need is a few different pulleys so you can tune it in right. Who is doing your tuning?
I wouldn't run over 450rwhp.
Steeda won't buy you a motor if you launch a rod. What do they have to lose?

Was just looking at the fuel injectors and the part # is Fuel Injector: 0280158060, 4G7V-B5A. When I look it up it comes back as 36lbs. I thought Whipple sent 34lbs?
These are what I have.....
And you also have GT500 pumps right?
I have a Kenne Bell BAP with upgraded wires
Stock pump with a bap probably isn't going to supply enough psi for those injectors to support 450rwhp safely. I don't know for sure.
If you get bigger injectors make sure they are the mid length just like the ones you have.
These are an excellent replacement. I've run them with a dob kit and they work very well. https://performanceparts.ford.com/part/M-9593-MU52 They are also pretty reasonably priced for what you get and what they are capable of. $250 US on ebay brand new.
Aren't the ones I have (36psi)a little bit more flow than the standard 34's that come from Whipple?
