Whistling sound at idle?

I have this whistling sound coming from my engine bay when the car is idling. Sound is there when I start moving too, but I hear it most at idle. Sounds like I have a centrifugal supercharger but my engine is stock, you know that whisling sound. First thing I thought it could be is a vacuum leak on one of the hoses, I checked those. Could it be the belt? Maybe a pulley is going? thoughts?

Just a little concerned because I'm 600 miles from home in another country with the car and I can't fix it

Pulleys tend to sound like screeching. A vacuum leak can sound like a whistle. Some throttle body spacers can make a whistling sound. (But you already know that)
