From what I've heard, even the CompCams stage IV are pretty smooth - not much of a lope - but they make good power. I believe 5.0 Mustangs and Super Fords did a test with the CC Stage IVs and made about 40HP with the new FRPP P&P heads...all naturally aspirated, too.

The BBR stage IIs are very lopey... http://youtube.com/watch?v=13pA6O0cmoA

Bingo nailed it on the head.

The Comp Cams will yeild more power, but the BBR's will give you that lope that we love so much!

I wonder if anyone has Crower or Crane cams...all you see is CompCams and BBR out there, but I know Crower and Crane make 3-valve cams.

Wonder if that is the older BBR cams or the new ones.. The older ones were reground cams and I was told they now are billet..

Those were reground.

I heard this car in person, and it is mean!!! Stock manifolds and mid pipe with SLP Loudmouths!

I've got some pretty good videos of him on the dyno!

Speaking of emperorjordan, has anyone heard from him lately?!?!? I'll have to give him a call and send an invite!

BBR sounds amazing. Maybe i need to take a closer look at those. For a daily driven car, would these be a good solution to wanting some more horsepower?

*edit* is there any disadvantage to getting reground cams? Are they cheaper?

With any aggressive cam, you'd probably need to get a new torque converter or lower gears since they're doggish down low...if you can deal with that, I imagine they'd be fine.
