WTB: Cowl Hood

I am looking to buy a cowl hood already painted black. I would like to buy from someone that I could drive to pick it up. I am trying to avoid shipping and painting costs if I can. I live in Austin, TX so you texas guys, if you have a hood let me know. 2.5" or 3" preferable but I would do the 4" for the right price. Looking to spend no more than 500 so let me know. yeah I dont think I like the style of that hood. I was looking at the trufiber 3" or a cervinis 2.5" or 4". The free shipping is nice though. I was hoping that one of these texas guys has something they might want to get rid of...

so I just found an add for a harwood 2.5" hood that looks amazing....it is 535 as well but it looks like they are located in tyler texas which is not too far from me. Anyone had any experience with harwood hoods. Also, I would need to get it painted, anyone have an idea of how much that would run me?

youre probably lookin at 5-600 for a good paint job. it also dpends on the amount of prep work involved. harwood has been around a long time. im sure theres going to be minimal prep.

They have a 4" bolt-on cowl hood for $299 and they are in tx. but if you have it shipped its $125 more.







Edit: Our cars ar going to look the same... lol I plan on getting a cowl hood also and the roush wing.

I have decided to get the harwood 2.5". I like the smooth lines and they are located in texas. I will still have to pay for paint but I really like the hood and I havent seen anyone with one yet...

Yea I had a 4" cowl like a Cobra R hood on my black 95 GT I used to have and it was just way to big.. lol. I was driving and felt like I could not see over it.

I think 3" would be the largest I would go..

It shouldnt cosy you more than 400 to have your hood painted black. Black is the cheapest paint color to buy.

Yep, in this area anyways. Hell, I do paint an body work and if I was to paint a hood Black for someone Id probaly charge $300, (I already have primer,black dupont base, and the dupont clear) Too bad the OP isnt closer.
