There are lots of guys who have tried things like this. Some worked out well and some didn't. I've always been of the opinion you're better safe than sorry; especially with BA rides like ours! I don't take short cuts when working on my Stang. It just isn't worth it. We specifically chose to rent out the cam swap tools so it would no longer cost someone an arm and a leg to install their cams if they only plan to get in there once.Do you really need a timing chain wedge? Why not just ziptie the timing chain so it stays on the sprocket?
