I have a block. It's from an Explorer. The main difference between this block and a 3v Mustang block is this one has more aluminum to reduce nvh.

I want what I have into it plus shipping. I've shipped blocks before for around $100 fedex ground but it would depend on where you are.

I'd need $450 + shipping. I know it's alot but if I ever need a block it will cost at least that much to replace it. I can also ship the crank that came with it for shipping charges only. It needs a regrind and cleaning.

So would I need to do anything else different with that block? Are the mounts and everything the same?

The mounts are the same. The only thing you would have to do is put a 1/8 npt plug in one of your front cover holes. The bores are still stock size but the crosshatches are almost gone. It uses the same parts as a 3v.

Hang tight though. Chances are that someone will offer you a block for less than what I did, that's how it usually goes. I'll get some more in depth pics of the bearing journals and underside of the block if you would like.
