To my fellow Challenger owner.....buy the Hellcat!!

My wife and I love the Challenger 392. A Hellcat is definitely happening. LOL

I was just talking about phonetically speaking. Have you ever heard a British person say aluminum?

I know. That's why I said it was funny. I love researching and finding the history of all kinds of things. The origin of words is one of them. I just wanted to share. :beerchug2:

I have been in one. VERY NICE. I have also seen the skid-pad test that is better than the boss. Numbers don't lie.

I bought a base GT. It comes STANDARD with:

4 piston 14 inch front brakes
Track Apps
Reverse Camera
Sync
Power driver & passenger seat
Launch Control
Line Lock
Oil Cooler
Push Button Start
My Key
LED fog light

All of these are an upgrade over a 14 Base Gt. I paid $29900 for a car with a better motor and heads plus all of the above and handles better than a Boss. Its a no brainer.

This IS NOT the same motor. It has bigger valves and higher lift cams plus the boss rods!

I don't know who you have been talking too,,,but I saw 2 base Mustangs yesterday that didn't have most of the stuff you listed. Standard equipment is something that is in every car, not and "available option".

In either case... good luck. I hope you enjoy it. For you its a no-brainer... for me its a no-way. Too each his own.

I still don't like the exterior, and I still think the interior looks and feels like a Focus ST got gangbanged by a bunch of horny undergrad design students.

Bah humbug.

Dude! You can't imagine how much I felt like I was in my old Focus. It was so disappointing. Maybe that's why I have a problem with it. 2+ year old Focus dash, radio, button styles, etc. is far from what I expected. All those buttons on the steering wheel too... no thanks.

BASE GT has this. Not the v-6 or Eco-boost.

300A is standard on a base GT.

For all of you that think the new IRS is the greatest thing ever just wait....Ford Racing already offers a drop in live axle replacement, that tells me the IRS won't hold much power.

I agree completely. It's a damn Playstation controller on each side of the wheel. I don't like the plethora of A/C and other dash buttons, either.

Where did you see this?

Not saying it won't happen, in fact I've been expecting it ever since the IRS announcement but I've not seen any details on it yet.

Edit- did a quick search and found the quotes from PRI, nothing yet available to the public. About what I was expecting, I'm sure FRPP has already got cars testing a solid axle, it just makes sense since many Mustangs will see a lot of drag strip use and FRPP is well aware of the popularity of solid axle swaps in 99-04 Cobras.

Never buy the first year model of any car. In fact I've done quite well going for the 3rd-4th year versions. Let others go through the hassle of working out the bugs and dealing with recalls and TSB's. I'll get the 3rd revision that has all the bugs worked out.

This has worked very well with my last 4 vehicle purchases and each one has been exceptional with very few problems (except the 4R70W in my F150). With the new Mustang and F150 models this year I wouldn't consider buying one until at least 2017, unless you pick up a leftover 2014. I think the 2014 models will be the most trouble free versions for the next several years.

BINGO! Never will i buy first year production.

All this might explain why a Ford Racing representative told Gas2 at the Performance Racing Industry Show that Ford is planning on releasing a special edition with a nine-inch SRA

It was reported last year that FRPP already had plans to release a SRA 9" for the drag racer.

Ninja edited my post while you were typing yours :) . Like I said, no surprise that FRPP would release a solid axle kit.

I just hadn't seen any mention of it directly from FRPP yet.

Did the IRS make any difference? Could you tell a difference when driving?

We went for a ride through some twistes as well as high speed. It felt like the 8.8 was back there. Same ride comfort too.

Oh ok, I see what you are saying now. I do the same thing but with phrases and sayings. It is interesting to know how some of these sayings got their meaning.
