Went to the track yesterday to assist some BMR users, and decided to hop into a good friends '14 GT500.

The car has a VMP Gen 2 S/C System, exhaust, and E85. It also sits on BMR Springs, and some rear suspension goodies.

Anyhow, HOLY smokes! 3900lbs of STEAM! I babied it this pass, I feel the next pass would have been a 9.8X....but someone oiled down the track before the lanes closed.

I'm curious to know why he took off the factory TVS and went with the VMP TVS.

to Quote VMP's site
GEN II flow testing showed an 18 percent improvement over our own first generation VMP TVS. Dyno testing on GT500s ranging from 2007 to 2014 have shown as much as a 51 rwhp increase over our powerful first gen TVS with nothing more than the blower swap alone!

I know someone on here was upgrading to the Gen 2 case and said that it has a better elbow and looked to flow better

Hey that's Thomas's car! Nice work driving it Kelly, Tom did pretty well too for how green he is at drag racing. Tons of info on this car over on SVTP.

He was a test subject for VMP and their new (at the time) Gen2 blower. I doont remember the exact numbers but Justin threw his 67mm throttle body and the Gen2 on the car and it picked up over 50 rwhp compared to the stock Trinity TVS and Ford racing 65mm TB. Plus it gained a ton under the curve as well. The Gen2's are nothing to mess around with

Here's the original comparison.

http://www.svtperformance.com/?p=1932

Peak gains of 45hp and 51 lb/ft of torque with the addition of VMP stage 2.

Car made a peak of 729hp/ 776tq. Car previously had their stage 4 kit, headers, and a 10% overdrive crank pulley before bolting on the TVS.

Then they added new injectors and switch him over to E85 and it picked up an additional 86hp and 55tq at the wheels over the pump gas VMP stage 2 blower setup, bringing the totals to 819/831. Damn impressive numbers for a 2.3 liter blower.

I was actually testing it out.

That is another local friend/customer with a 13 GT500 rocking a 9.3@150 on a full BMR suspension, stick car with a Drag Radial. ;)
