Running a slick/skinny combo on the street everyday is a horrible idea. People bend them all the time. I know a man in Houston(not saying his name) who has had 3 different bogarts come off his Supra while on the highway.

Slicks on the highway sucks, way to much movement. Skinnies on the front suck for braking, plus they all suck in the rain. What more do you want?

Never said he was getting skinnies for the front, in the OP he wanted a 15x8 for the fronts

BBR doesn't carry the 17x8's but they do exist so it is an option. IF you want to know who does just PM me and I'll let you know.

I'll probably end up with 17x8 and 15x10 darkstars when its time. I can get away with the Mickey tire though hehe

Here is mine with 15x10 rears and 17x4 fronts. the fronts are technically Greg welds but are pretty much the same look as a race star

thanks, I actually saw yours in another thread you made. Looks awesome. That made the decision for me! but I'm going to go with the 17x8's so I don't have to run skinnies all the time.

Is this a street car? what tires do you run in the back and what kind of mileage do you get out of them? I'm thinking of going with some M/T's since they seem to have some longevity and be decent in the rain.

Just my 2 cents. My car doesnt make over 400rwhp I had HUGE traction issues on:

17's , 18's, 20's DR's on all. Only one that solved my issue was 15X8 and 15X10 race stars with a nitto 555 dr 275/60/15 stock suspension. I can hook no problem on the street. I still have stock 17's up front when I use my race stars and I'm about to change to etiher 15X3's or 17X4's

Plus 15 inch tires are super cheap.

Damn, that sucks. I see cars all the time making 700-800 wheel on 315s mounted on 17" wheels. Your going to spin some, that's the name of the game of a RWD car.

Ps OP: Your car is going to feel substantially slower with that big of a 28"-29" tire.

I already explained the downsides of running them on a daily basis.

You may have said I will bend them, but you failed to give details. I could see bending skinnies hitting potholes and whatnot, but im not running skinnies. I don't see how wheels designed to stand up to the abuse of racing will be hurt just driving normal. So please, if you can point to a thread to back yourself up I will be more than happy to listen, otherwise I have heard of plenty of people not having a single problem on the street.

I do not agree..... I run a 28 alll the time. By the time you put the right amount of air in a dr that was a 28 it turns into a 27ish or lower.

Yes it does suck I guess im not that lucky maybe the gear did it lol (joking)

So you have people that run 700-800 hp on 315 by what? on a 17 inch wheel?

There are tons of cars running over 1000hp on a 275 but people think more traction if bigger lol.

I dont spin at all now on the street and a dig if I heat them up and launch under 3500 :)

Your looking to put 17X8's up front?
