Little buddy do yourself a favor and get a tune from Jon Lund for your 2012. After doing a lot of research and speaking with Jon about these new cars that's who I have gone with for my latest tune. It will cost you $200.00 but it is worth every penny for the performance and the piece of mind knowing your car has been tuned by one of the best tuners out there. Your # 8 cylinder will thank you also.

Other tuners are aware of the issue, I don't think he needs a $200 tune for his mods.
There are other great tuners out there, bama/AM is one of them, people are pushing jon lund tunes way too hard for simple bolt on's.

I'm not pushing anything. Just offering an opinion. You know the old saying, you get what you pay for in most cases.

have you considered Rick @ Amazon? he is part of a small group of tuners who have many many years of tuning expereince and knowledge..been EFI tuning since the late 90s..Auto Logic,Superchips,Diablosport,SCT,HP Tuners,Big Stuff, and many more

although better known with the 03 Cobra/Lighting guys..he knows his way around the S197s too..we had a Hellion turboed 05 GT and now a 2011 5.0 auto

$185 for unlimited tunes, unlimited support and free revisions to cover future mods for as long as you own the vehicle

remotely tuned the highest HP stock block 2011 5.0 to 738 HP

I dont know how he has managed to maintain this reputatoin as the best tuner, considering he doesn't have anyone with anyone near the fastest times running his e-mail tunes. so far I see Livernois and BBR holding those spots. I understand there is more to it, driveability, safety, but nobody running the other tunes say they suffer there either.

I'm sure he makes a good tune, I haven't seen any evidence that he has the best e-mail tunes though.

Bama's tunes are awesome and so are Amazon tunes. In fact I found my self using the Amazon tune most of the time. It has stock like driveability but when you step on the go peddle it takes off like a bat out of hell.

Bama Tunes for life life here. 93 Race tune really woke up my GT. Have 3 tunes in total. Steet, Performance and Race. Included in first purchase. Customer service is top notch.

You know, I'd love to see a dyno sheet from a livernois tuned 2011 GT with basic bolt ons... intake, offroad pipe etc. I've heard some stuff about that their power band and they way they tune their cars looks different. Although they're another $200 a tune.

Which is true, but BAMA and AM are backing up their tunes, i.e. if there tune pops #8 they fix it. thats a pretty good peice of mind in my opinion.

Been through a number of tunes here. BAMA for me. No more pig on the bottom for me! I don't need all my power above redline. I like mine strong off the bottom, smooth throughout, and holding on throughout the top. BAMA ftw!!!!! Chris Rose will read your datalogs, tweak when necessary and provide valuable feedback to the end user on a continual basis! THAT makes a good map! All 8 pistons intact????? CHECK!!!!:naughty1::chairfall:

This is why I hate these threads. The OP asks which Bama tune to get (not what company to buy from), and it becomes a debate that could go on forever. Even other companies join in to scrape up business. Obviously, if there are this many people with positive things to say about their tuner, we're all doing something right.

Don't go with who can parade the most people in a forum, go with who makes you feel the most comfortable. I'm sure that any of the names mentioned here will be able to get you to the same place.

And as for the cylinder #8 issue, we offer a warranty on our tunes protecting you from out-of-pocket costs in the very unlikely event that a #8 failure would occur.

I was merely stating that of all the tunes I've had, BAMA has superceeded my expectations with availability and performance of the tunes they put together AND service after the sale which is extremely important to me. If my reply offended anyone, I'll refrain from saying such from now on.

Yes I drive it in the winter no issues there at all.
I've been through 4 inches of snow and pretty bad winters, can't go above 15mph in the snow but I will make it home lol :beerdrink:
