Could you please expand on the drivability issue. I've been contemplating HotRod cams for my Bullitt purely for the sound, just don't want to look like dummy stalling and bucking in the traffic.
Cheers
I have hot rods and it’ll buck some under low rpm load. Honestly I’ve learned to get used to it over time and while I still have to push the clutch in occasionally to keep it from stalling, it isn’t “that bad”. I live in a rural town and my car isn’t a daily, but no way I’d daily it with traffic.

I have DD’d two separate S197s both with Hot Rod cams. With a good tune, low speed bucking will be minimal. Basically you just get used to clutch out (assuming it’s manual) when you get below 1K RPM in 1st. Vacuum at idle is also just fine with Hot Rods so no braking issues there.

The sound and rocking at idle makes it well worth any minor annoyances :)
