Dragracer wannabe
You are from California. You do not understand, nor will you ever understand what it means to be a Texan.
I was born and raised in Texas. My family was in Texas when Texas was Mexico.
Again, enlighten me, Oh Great One.

Well then you should understand what it means.
It means we don't agree with it, yes he can do whatever he pleases but we don't agree with how it is done.I don't understand this statement. Are you saying no one expects him to give away the parts for free, but it's fucked up if he doesn't give them away?
I don't understand your viewpoint because you haven't explained it.
It means we don't agree with it, yes he can do whatever he pleases but we don't agree with how it is done.
You seem to be one of the few who doesn't understand what i'm saying. I have had SEVERAL fellow, well-respected members now PM me agreeing with what has been stated.
OK. So I believe you're saying he has the right to do what he's doing. You just don't like it.
That's what's great about capitalism. If enough people don't like it, he won't sell much (if any). Therefore, he either changes what he does or can't afford to do it anymore.
I just know what I've read on these posts. And whenever I asked you questions about your thoughts, you never really answered them so that I could understand. For example, when I asked how he was taking advantage of someone's generosity, you posted a link to a for sale ad. That didn't really explain how you thought he was taking advantage. So when I surmised your reasoning, I asked several questions about that. Instead of answering the questions, you just reiterate that it's wrong and something about "capitalist mantra". Then you give me an example of your generosity (commendable, btw) as evidence of , I assume, how the Mustang enthusiast community should deal with each other. Then you try to explain it by assuming I don't understand because I'm not Texan.
I understand you don't like it. I think I understand why, but I'm not sure. I've been attempting to challenge your logic so that you can reconsider your thinking while at the same time explaining my logic to you.
I think all he's saying that if your roll in selling is strictly "for-profit", you should be a supporting vendor.
Sick use of logical fallacies and faulty logic bro; why don't we sit down, smoke a joint, and read some Nietzsche or Foucault to each other?
I think all he's saying is that if your sole motivation for selling is strictly "for-profit", you should be a supporting vendor.
I don't necessarily disagree.
How about if a guy wants to mod his car and has found that he can only afford to if he buys, sells, and trades parts? That OK?
Then said person would be quite aware of the concept "you gotta pay to play". Vendors are held to that standard because business isn't free. If that's the only way someone could afford to mod their car, I would think that they obviously can't afford to mod the car in the first place.
...it's Kimmer's decision and I'm not gonna be pissed off one way or the other.

Listen, I usually give my parts away for really cheap or free.
I've offered to work on several cars for free.
Hell, even this morning I offered to install a Saleen blower and some suspension components to a guy I've never met before.
With that said, I've never had an issue with someone selling parts I gave them for free. I give my parts away when I don't want to deal with the hagglers, don't want to continually update an ad, need to clear out some space in my garage, want to hook someone up. Last month I gave some local kid a set of Flowmaster American Thunder axlebacks for a 12 pack of Guiness.
If someone gives parts away for free, it's their choice. Is Caleb expected to give the same parts away for free if he wants to get rid of them? Not at all.
I don't want to get into this and I really could care less about what any of these guys do, but, I think Kuro!'s main issue with Holywood is the reselling of parts on THIS FORUM when said parts were either purchased or given to him FROM THIS FORUM'S members.
To quote the specific instance he is referring to, the Carbon Fiber Intake Cover. If I am not mistaken, the original owner was giving it away for free and posted up in the classifieds. Now Holywood called dibs, went to pick it up and is now reselling that same part in our classifieds for profit when everyone else had a shot at it for free previously.
I can kinda see his point as it does feel like a bit of a slap in the face in that respect. Again, I'm not taking sides, I could care less. I'm from Canadia and the classifieds here don't do me much good, but I can kinda see his point, at least in that instance.
He is afraid cause be knows your right and he can't hide behind his post count now to get people to take his side.PS: Caleb, I see you lurking. Waiting for you to chime in about all of this...
