Wastegate and Blow off valve question

I have the on3 kit on my car. Now, I want to upgrade my WG and BOV.

With the kit you get a 50mm BOV and a 38mm WG. Will getting bigger WG and BOV help with the performance? or will it be a waste of $$$ and just stick with better name brand stuff and the same size???

Yes size is fine. Get a Tial 50mm bov and a Tial 38mm wastegate.

I prefer Tial made in the USA, Turbosmart is good stuff too made in Australia. Your top brands as far as quality are Tial, Turbosmart and Precision. Thats all my good friend uses at his shop and he builds/fabricates custom turbo kits.

You can get a Tial MVS which is 38mm and compact and it is top of the line. I run a Tial MVR and everything about it is top quality. I would also use Precision stuff too as they look to be very high quality as well.

The mv-s is nice! but no need for it on his application, plus he would have to weld on a new mounting flange. Waste of money imho for a stock block basic turbo kit car.

Yea, that's true. I forgot the normal Tial has the two bolt flange instead of v band.

Its not a question of if it will work its about quality and reliability and warranties which the knockoff ebay stuff lacks.

Yes, the F38 will bolt in place of your current wg. Either BOV is fine, but may require the flange to be welded onto the piping. Lightblade should know which one would bolt in place of the On3 BOV.

Lightblade. Also, where can I get a better clamp for the throttle body coupler, the big oval one??? Mine popped off once after I let off. Between the time the BOV opened and me letting off the gas, I can hear a little, almost a hiccup sound, I think its the boost hitting the intake mani. Is that normal??? I'm getting my boost signal and BOV vacuum from the fuel rail pressure thingy...

Your current bov spring may be too stiff, What is your vac at idle? That will let you know what size spring to get with your new bov.
