Thats not the S197 magnum T56

Durr.. you don't say. I'm well aware of exactly what it is, I posted it as something people subscribed to this thread may be interested in, especially for that price.

The RAM clutch and flywheel are working out fine. I got a few hundred miles of break-in under my belt, and then drove the car to Florida. No issues whatsoever. Like I said, it's a little chattery, but that's expected with a dual disc clutch.

The McLeod RXT will be hitting the classifieds or eBay soon, so if anyone wants first dibs, let me know. I'm thinking $700 for both, shipped, which is a smokin deal. Whoever buys it had better invest in some shims and know what they're doing, though.

You guys are idiots. My mom and my sister are much more readily available than the Tremec T56 for the S197. MUCH!

Anybody wanna bet this is being used in the new 2013 GT500? It makes since because Tremec was saying that they were busy fulfilling an OEM contract that was of greater performance than aftermarket. SVT was busy testing out thirty two different gearing combination's on the GT500. I know that Tremec probably didn't have more than 15, possibly 20 combos possible with all the other OEM T-56/TR6060.

Tremec was probably testing all the different input/output/main/counter shaft sizes and spline counts in the new S197 case for SVT and the most durable housings for OEM spec. That's a big OEM contract for Tremec to be fulfilling other than aftermarket obligations. Could they also possibly launch the aftermarket version to coincide with the GT500's sale date? Food for thought but who really knows until we see the underside of the new GT500!

I don't think I want to be the first kid on the block to get that toy. I'll wait and see how it really performs.
