Hey guys.
I've been wanting a black shift boot with red stitching forever but never wanted to spend the money they wanted for them! But through some research and creative thinking, I found a pretty good deal online and thought I would share my process. If you do a search on ebay for a Saleen Shift Boot with white stitching, you should come across a brand new in the box shift boot, ready to snap in, for no more than $17.25 with free shipping. Then pick up a red dye marker for about $2 from Hobby Lobby or your local craft store and carefully color the threads with the dye marker (dye pretty much wipes off the leather material, so it's really hard to screw it up, but the less dye on the black, the better). I went over them once and then again just to make sure the color saturated well. So easy! Took less than 10 minutes and I have a beautiful brand new Shelby boot with red stitching (cheapest I've found on ebay was $65 plus about $8 shipping)! Attached a few pic's to show the Saleen boot, the marker I used and the finished product! Hope some of you can take advantage of this and let me know how it works out if you do!
Happy Holidays!
