dumb question, you guys that use lexol, do you buy the actual stuff or the wipes?

spray bottle.

One applicator to spread it all over the seat, and a damp microfiber to clean it

The Lexol Conditioner and Dressing are very nice too.

if it is something that can be used on vinyl and leather... no thank you.

Note with Adam's stuff. If you like it so much switch to chemical guys, they make the products for Adam's and are typically 10-20% cheaper.

Adams completely denies that Chemical guys makes their product.

By chance, do you have some kind of proof to back that statement up?

go on autopia, detailingbliss, autogeek forums or any other forum where people know more than what looks good on the shelf of pep boys.

Adams is allowed to deny it all they want, but I can show you a chemical guys product that is the exact same to one Adam's makes.

Chemical Guys parent company, Warner Chemical makes roughly 80% of the standard detailing products sold.

Same color, same smell, same effect to the same level

Adams Detail Spray : Chemical Guys Speed Wipe
Adams VRT : Chemical Guys VRP
Adams Butter Wax : Chemical Guys Butter Wet Wax
Adams Undercarriage Spray : Chemical Guys Bare Bones
Adams APC : Chemical Guys Inner Clean

Should I go on?

Easy tiger.

I was just trying to get some ground to stand on, as I've discussed this with a buddy and he said there is no way Chemical guys makes their stuff, etc.

Thanks for the info.

If you go further into some of the threads when Adam is approached on it. He goes from...

No way, never

to

Well, we use the same basic chemicals

to

We do have some product similarities due to us having the same supplier (Warner Chemical)

I think I have passed the point of no return with how dirty the seat is. The lexol is getting some of the dirt off, but my white leather inserts are still dirty.

Buddy of mine said to just try warm soap and water? any opinions on that

A long time ago I was partial to saddle soap and elbow grease...White leather is just the most needy of all colors, akin to black car paint. Just do what you can, experiment with other cleaners perhaps

Did you use a soft brush with the Lexol to scrub it?

Lexol, leatherique, optimum power clean at 10:1 or 3:1 then hit with their leather stuff works great also. I've used meguiars leather conditioner but it leaves the seats to shiny for my liking. I'm more of a natural look. But great advice on here!

I know it is frowned upon to use an abrasive on your leather seats, but i've had great success with Mr. Clean Magic Erasers but only on the bolsters and headrest.

I've used Lexol Cleaner & Conditioner [One Bottle}, and I wasn't super impressed..

I have bought Lexol Cleaner & Conditioner in separate bottles and will be trying out next time I need to do so.

I have also used Meguiars spray Gold Class Leather Cleaner & Conditioner, and it's good, except you have to redo the interior if you're not careful (leads to A LOT of overspray correction)
