I took the fox out for a little scoot today. I need to do one of two things. Either get some stickier tires or keep my foot out of the gas pedal. That thing get zero traction but it sure was fun. I think I'll try some Notto NT05R's.

That is cool you got to run the car today. It was a nice ride down and back to Elizabeth City today. We had only 5 cars but alot of fun. Here is a few pics of the cars.

She will try.

Meanwhile, I pulled my throttlebody off to clean it. When I was putting it back on, the top nuts that sit behind the FRPP manifold mouth for the top throttlebody bolts (BOTH!) stripped out. The threads on the bolts are ok, but when I removed them to inspect the threads, there was a small ring of metal wrapped around the threads. Looks like it came from threads of the nuts. Looks like the bolts, even though i have been using them for over a year, are too short and pulled some of the thread off the nuts. Hopefully some longer bolts will grab and Ill be ok. If not, anybody know if those nuts can be removed, i tried, but I didnt want to break it any more than it already is.

Had a lady on a cell phone almost take out the fox today, she changed lanes in an intersection My evasive manuver almost put me into a tree, flooring it in second is not a good idea. Horse power and cold roads make for slippery, sideways crap your pants ride.

They are 285 45 15's I think. Definetly lookling into a drag radial.
I have some 275/40-17 NT05R's on some bullitt wheels i might sell, just dont know what direction i am going in. How are you enjoying your foxbody? Been looking at them hard.

I love it so far but all I do is look at it in the garage. I need to get the the DMV and get plates. It is 25 now so I'm getting antique plates so I don't have to deal with the inspection. It was nice yesterday and and I coupldn't resist a short spin. It makes decent power but has cheap rear tires and zero traction. I'm thinking about picking up some 9x15's and running a little narrower tire on the street, the current 10x15's with 285's rub a little even after some mesaging the wheel wells with a BFH. I want to keep the 10x 15's for track tires since my 26x10 15r slicks don't rub.

Shell URT Advanced Race Fuel:
Something I have been researching the last few weeks. Making calls to different shops and tuners and asking questions. My car is by no means a beast but one day it might get there. LOL!! Every little thing counts and some here will benefit from this fuel. Its an unleaded fuel and is a replacement so to speak for C16. Also it can be mixed with your pump unleaded fuel with no issues. What the ratio and octane might be when mixed, ask the guys at Shell. The fuel is O2 and Cat safe and has a higher resistance to detonation than C16. I ordered two 5 gallon pails just to have some for MIR, etc. DTP is now a dealer of this fuel and if your interested contact Brent to order. DTP is placing an order and will be doing some testing on various cars with C16 versus the Shell URT. Hopefully I can be there to video and post results. Here is some more info for everyone.

Ray do you need a tune for this stuff?

No not from what I read and was told. You can dump this in your DD and go. Some say its hype, being pushed and want to see more testing by other individuals. JPC uses the fuel but only comment I see is from Tommy in the "unleaded race gas" thread on this forum. Brent said they were looking at this stuff last year so the timing just all fell into place. In the conversations today a few cars will be tested. Seans 5.0, SuperBee and a built procharged 3V. When, I dont know but shouldnt be far off.

Going to shut that open door right now in light of the last time that door was opened. One day to you I will make some funny comments that pop in my head with that.
