BG is a "dealer service" product line, so you're looking for a car dealer that stocks the SS II. I used the BG website to find a list of dealers then just phoned around until I found a dealer (VW, as it happens) that had it. Easy.

Where are u guys buying the BG SS II from?
@ Unleashed, JAJ, and Grimace. I have the lower linked product available at my local parts store here in Hawaii. What are your opinions of this fluid? I cant find a spec sheet on their site though. TIA.

That is true gear oil, not intended for the use in a manual transmission. The viscosity is too heavy. Normally, you wouldn't find the heavy use of extreme pressure additives in a dedicated manual transmission fluid.
Thanks for the info. On the bottle it said 75-90 gear and tranny fluid and I also full synthetic. I figured it was worth a try since ive used Lucas products before and they performed well.

Manual Transmission,MT82 (6-SPD)......SLF [2]
All TEMPS......
No AMSOIL Product Recommendation
Automatic Transmission,6R80......MLV
Low Viscosity Synthetic ATF (ATLQT)
so i just noticed Amsoil is no longer recommending their oil for the MT-82

Sounds like a vote of no confidence for the MT82 from Amsoil.
