5.0 Mustang / Jpc Cam install Article

Very good tech / install article we did with 5.0 on the JPC Heads and Cams.

I wanted to get this info out some time ago, but had to wait for the mag article.

April issue of 5.0 starting at Page 104.

In a nutshell, we picked up 53 peak rwhp, 63 @ 7100

17 peak ft/lbs, 47 ft/lbs @ 6900

this was a blown application. Stage 1 heads.

I know JPC has been 9's on their n/a car with stage 2 or 3's i believe

I was aware of it being a blower car but the gains are still nice. The install is going to be difficult though I think those gains are worthy of it.

JPC is a great shop and Justin is one cool guy to chat with and will do anything possible to help out

That's what I'm thinking about doing! But also want to consider $ per hp I'm not gonna spend 10k to make 500hp.. when I can just buy a whipple for less than 6k with my discount for over 600hp

Yea the car was full bolt ons with heads and cams and a boss intake made 507.

this is a dyno sheet i had on photo bucket. This was the boss intake test we did after the heads and cams.

Eric, what stage heads/cams were those? And what else did the car have? Boss intake for sure....long tubes/full exhaust? What else? Just curious how repeatable this is and is it pretty streetable/emissions legal...
