This sounds like one of those, "I dont wanna admit I messed up wrecks."

When someone comes into my lane my first reaction is to stop and or swerve. Not gas it and increase the speed of collision. A stock 5.0 in Las Vegas Nevada shouldnt lose traction from gas'n it unless your cruising in 2nd gear at 5K rpms in a corner!

NOT SAYING THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED! I landed a 1974 Grand Prix (455 Rocket) on top of a dumpster once so I have no room to talk shit! lmao

PS. Glad your OK!!!!

I don't swerve. I brake and accept the collision or near miss what ever it may be. Where I live there are a lot of deer, cows, hogs, and other things that run out in the road at the times of the day I drive ( just before sun up and just after sundown.

Now if there is person in the road (not in a car) that would be different story. I would eat shit into a wall and face the inevitable before I would hit a pedestrian potentially killing them and ruining many peoples lives.

Fact is though everyone can say what they would do, if you have not been put in the position, well you will never know till you have. Maybe at the last minute you see a child's face in the window and decide to swerve into a bus stop. Well, that is what you thought was best at the time.

Now with that said , I once drove a 2002 F350 crew cab 4x4 dually into a 45 mph curve at 90 mph becouse I have done it several times at 80 mph. Well, that time it didnt stick to the road and I left the road. I tried to correct it but that big ass truck had its own mind at that time. I lest the road and then back on for a second before the truck rolled two times and the hit concrete mess on the side of the road and went end over end. Yes 23' of Ford end over end! It landed on the roof and the entire cab was crushed. Only thing that saved me was at the time I didnt believe in waring seat belts and I was thrown to the floor before the cab was crushed. I can tell you there is nothing that will make you go home and hug the wife and kids more!

Point is no matter what we all think we should do, there is usually only a fraction of a second to react when something like this happens on the street. You will not always make the right choice!

OP, glad you are ok and nobody was hurt.

Interesting, hope this isn't the kid my buddies and I helped install a 3" Magnaflow AB on. That was a brand new nice clean car! Sounded angry with the magnaflow's, even if the 3" is overkill on a N/A car.

To his defense, some of the streets in Vegas really suck to get into a bind on, I avoid the death trap streets myself. Can't say I've ever used the gas pedal to avoid someone. SS lines slotted/drilled & ceramic pads ftmfw. I do feel bad for the sap behind me if I ever do hafta stand on 'em. Hope they all have good insurance, I intend to bill them for popcorn as well.

+1.... 5.0 is not going to lose enough traction to spin out unless you really got on that sucker. Sorry but like everyone else stated, use the brake pedal instead of the gas pedal in situations like these.

If not braking, just let the idiot hit u.

Glad your ok though.

PS learn to drive intelligently

Sounds like you were having some fun after the new exhaust, we've all done it man. Be more careful and thank God you didn't kill anyone at the bus stop...

Its all good man. I bet ive made more mistakes. As long as we learn from them. No one was hurt........thats a cheap lesson IMO! Most of the time with insurance people come out better than when they went in!
