Well, Brenspeed said they no longer have their B302 forged aluminum short block because Ford has stopped producing the Aluminum 3V Block

I think the op of the question meant to ask what happnd to my previous short block.
I had detonation in #8 cylender and a little on # 7 #8 top ring failed because of the detonation and messed up piston. So lost compression in that cylinder..

Without detonation the shortblock would have been fine. Theres people running alot of power on this shortblock and it can be done.. As with any shortblock keep detonation to a minimum.. And it should live well..
With me wanting to push things harder im going the extra mile with this build.
It's important to have a good tuner, proper fuel supply & octain
.. and the more power the more important it is..

HEY IM A NEWBEE BUT JOINED S197 FORUMS BECAUSE I AM RESEARCHING FI OPTIONS AND THIS IS THE LARGEST SITE I CAN FIND ON 3 VALVE 2005 CARS!!! Looks like you have a sick build!! I AM A MEMBER OF THE CORRAL FORUMS not as much 3 v stuff.. My car is finally paid for..so about to build it have some money saved.. I have been dreaming of 400 - 500 rwhp but looking at centrifical because it seams to be easiest do i need the hard anidized coating you went with? if i decided to add more than the 4 - 500 rwhp? in the future ive seen alot of post with Bob Kurgan on lightnings 4 valve cobras and such looks like you have the right tuner with Bob & builder with Bart!!! Top notch.. From what i have heard GOOD LUCK WITH the BUILD!! Hope all goes well..
Peter

Yes it is going to be sweet! what started as a simple shortblock rebuild has now turned into a total car build.. this car is going to have some attitude for sure!! once you start rolling the ball on a build like this if you can you may as well complete the roll... :) ITS THAT LIL THING "WELL WHILE WE'RE IN THERE WE MAY AS WELL DO THIS THEN THIS LEEDS TO THAT "

I'm new to Ford's and hope this hasn't been asked before. In the OP he's saying what length of stroke he's using to come up with a 326 cubes. Can these same numbers be used in a Coyote 5.0 to make the same cubes? Thanks

the Coyote is a totally diffrent animal than the 4.6 based modular I think RGR is getting more than 302 ci out of the Coyote though I am not sure if there doing bigger bore or stroke to acheive the cubes
